Role/ Department:
Working within the UKTA Regulatory Reporting team responsible for undertaking all required reporting requirements on behalf of Clients in respect of OEIC/UT shareholders as required by Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs and other reporting bodies.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Perform QA on reports sent to clients for approval – Product Sales Data (PSD), FATCA/CRS, Other Interest (OI), ISA annual statistical return, ISA annual claim form and ACS reporting.
* Perform QA on reporting not sent for client approval – Investment Association (IA).
* Perform 1099 US Tax middleman reporting to IRS.
* Perform QA and checklist requirements in line with procedures and load them accurately in OMNI workflow system.
* Submit reporting to HMRC, IA and FCA.
* Monitor guidance and regulations to ensure reporting is correct and changes to schemas or procedures are made timely and accurately.
* Work queue and email mailbox management/clearance.
* Working closely with India office.
* Provide guidance/SME support to India in relation to reporting requirements.
* Monitor India SLA’s to ensure QA can be performed timely and in line with client SLA's.
* SME support and knowledge of reporting applications and schemas such as 1099 - Onesource, FATCA/CRS - ETL, IA reporting - IA macro, ISA/OI/ACS/PSD - ICON.
* Assisting on the preparation of audit sampling requests.
* Assisting on offshore, clients, HMRC and IA queries.
* Complete all controls/checks on daily/monthly checklists.
* Maintain relations with third parties - to include Client, internal relations with other departments, HMRC, IA, and Auditors.
* Attend Fund activity and Change governance meetings to assess activity changes/updates for impact on Regulatory reporting and make appropriate changes.
* Maintain a close working relationship with other Transfer agency teams and other internal areas such as Relationship Managers and Tax product department.
* Production of stats/KPI's as appropriate.
* Assisting with Development / Testing if needed.
* Provide clients and auditors walkthroughs.
* To work with the Manager and group projects area on any allocated Client projects.
* Makes recommendations to manager on procedure changes.
* Fulfil additional, relevant tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements.
Skills/ Qualifications:
* Demonstrate a detailed understanding of FATCA/CRS, ISA, OI, IA, ACS and PSD reporting.
* Knowledge and understanding of FCA /HMRC regulatory Environment impacting regulatory reporting.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of UK Transfer Agency functions, roles & responsibilities.
* Ability to review and resolve complex issues working under pressure meeting challenging deadlines.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of end to end Transfer Agency Operational processes.
* Knowledge of collective investment scheme administration and the regulatory environment is highly desirable.
* IOC Merit award or working towards this qualification is desirable.
* Customer Service experience.
* Excellent planning and organisation skills with a flexible approach to work.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Effective verbal reasoning and numeric skills.
* Good keyboard skills to include MS Excel and ability to learn systems used. Analytical skills are required to research and resolve enquiries.
