In a nutshell
This is a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Maintenance Aircraft Technician (Unlicensed) within Virgin Atlantic! In the role you will be responsible for accomplishing delegated maintenance tasks on VAA aircraft to the required Airworthiness standards. The primary objective is to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft by achieving, and striving to exceed, the standards of airworthiness set by Corporate and Airworthiness Authority policy, procedures, and requirements.
Day to day
* Carry out hands-on maintenance of aircraft and related systems and components.
* Adhere to manufacturers approved maintenance procedures and the instruction of the designated supervising Certifying Engineer.
* Apply sound engineering practices to duties and fully communicate actions.
* Participate in appraisals.
* Drive effective control of costs as applicable to job role.
* Drive compliance with Engineering safety.
About you
You will have successfully completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience and possess a sound engineering background, with relevant experience demonstrating clear and effective hand skills and thinking. You'll need demonstrable adaptation to changes in working practices and environment with excellent communication skills.
