HSE Manager – Contract – East London / Essex
Location: East London / Essex
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering and operations business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors. The role will be part of the Client team on an operational reception, distribution and transportation facility.
Role & Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing the day to day HSE management on site.
* Responsible for setting managing key HSE procedures / systems, generating reports and statistics.
* Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements and suggesting relevant ammedments.
* Attend Permit to Work meetings and regular morning HSE briefings.
* Complete Permit Audits.
* Conducting regular HSE site inspections and audits and collaborating with the department management and organisation to execute required actions.
* Offering support and gatekeeping Engineering activities.
* Setting up and Monthly KPI tracking
* Responsible for ensuring the company complies with all legal and moral responsibilities with respect to health, safety and the environment.
* Managing HSE system of incident reporting, investigation and analysis, ensuring the site investigates and report all near misses and incidents.
* Take ownership of the site’s emergency response processes, identify improvements and providing ongoing development and training for the site to ensure a robust and fit for purpose emergency response capability.
* Responsible for identification and submission of all HSE permits required for the site operation.
* Ensure compliance with Safety, Occupational Health and Environment Regulations.
* Manage HSE KPIs, ensuring targets are achieved and reporting them for the board and senior management.
Key Skills & Knowledge
* Successful track record in leading the HSE function for large scale energy industry projects.
* Experienced in managing site based operations on a large scale.
* Experience in dealing with people at various levels in an Organisation and the Regulatory bodies.
* Ideally degree qualified though other qualifications with suitable experience is acceptable
