About the Department:
The Software Development Team develops bespoke software to support our Engineering and Operations functions at Williams Racing. We operate in sub-teams that focus on supporting key areas such as Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, and Vehicle Performance.
Role Overview:
As a Software Engineering Graduate, you will be at the heart of our Software Development team, where you’ll play a critical role in building software solutions to enhance and amplify the work of our Engineering and Operations groups. This Software Engineering role offers the unique opportunity to work with a highly specialised user base at Williams Racing. We view Software and Data as critical drivers in our mission to advance up the grid. Your contributions will have a tangible impact, both in our factory and on the track.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineering Graduate at Williams, you will:
* Understand the needs of a wide range of users across Williams Racing
* Collaborate with users and the rest of the Software team to design and build new software solutions
* Enhance existing systems - improving reliability, performance, scale
* Streamline our own software development process, enabling us to deliver more to our customers
Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* Some experience in software development with languages like C#, Java, C++, or Python
* Strong desire to build impactful solutions for Engineering users
* Degree in Computer Science or a related field involving software development
* Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving requirements
* Collaborative and curious approach to technical problem-solving
* Comfortable working with both rigid requirements and exploring user needs collaboratively
