The role of a Veterinary Care Assistant is diverse and encompasses a range of responsibilities, including patient restraint, kennel maintenance, and laboratory tasks. You will also be responsible for cleaning and sterilising equipment and instruments, supporting theatre operations by assisting with procedures, managing dispensing duties, and providing assistance during hydrotherapy sessions.

Moorview Referrals is a multi-disciplinary, purpose-built veterinary referral hospital based in Cramlington, Northumberland. Our team comprises over 100 team members, ranging from experienced veterinary surgeons to front-of-house teams and administrators, all with the sole goal of delivering our purpose - Healthy animals and happy owners. * Animal Care qualifications are desirable
* Experience working with animals is essential, ideally with some experience working in a clinical environment.
* Remain calm and focused under pressure, with a caring and empathetic approach to your work.
* A strong team player with confident and effective communication skills.
Working Hours
This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 40 hours per week. We offer the flexibility of either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, with various start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM. The schedule includes working one weekend in four, along with a bank holiday rota and occasional night coverage as needed.
