Monarch Education is working closely with a primary school based in the Wolverhampton area who are seeking a qualified teacher to teach within Key Stage 2 (specifically Year 6) on a part-time, job share basis. It is essential that you have previous Key Stage 2 experience and in particular, experience of teaching Year 6 children for their SATs. You must have solid knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and a particular strength in Mathematics as this is an area which needs most development within the class. You will be responsible for the full time class teacher role including assisting in the development of planning and assessment. You will be confident in leading and supporting the work of the teaching Assistants in your class and maintain and develop the high standards across the school. You must take an active role in influencing and developing policies and practice in relation to class teaching to raise attainment across your class. The successful teach must be able to encourage a positive and consistent environment in the classroom to ensure all the children enjoy their learning. We would expect you to lead by example and make sure your work is reflected on your pupil's education. As a successful teacher, you must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), have previous experience of teaching in Key Stage 2 and will be able to establish constructive and positive relationships with your pupil's. Alongside this, you will be able to support all pupil's and cater for their individual needs, be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work with a positive outlook in Education and able to mark work per school policies. You will need to be able to plan and deliver inspiring and motivational lessons.
