Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and pro-active General Manager to join their team based in Drumnadrochit near in Inverness.
The purpose of the role is to drive the commercial performance of a busy tourism & hospitality venue, focussing on customer services and social media/marketing activities.
Duties include:
Managing visitor enquiries and bookings.
Greeting and assisting visitors and dealing with general enquiries.
Overseeing all booking related administration.
Driving commercial performance through digital marketing/social media activities.
Increasing online presence through a range of creative marketing initiatives across various platforms.
Liaising with various internal and external contacts.
Event planning and management.
Attendance at trade shows and tourism industry events.
Visual merchandising and stock control.
Growing and developing the venue team including recruitment and training.
Person specification:
Previous experience in a marketing/social media related role is preferred.
Management experience is not essential, the priority is to recruit an individual with the drive and ambition to succeed.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Social Media Platforms such as Facebook YouTube and Instagram.
Administration skills and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
A passion for the tourism industry in the Scottish Highlands.
Ability to grow and develop a team to drive the continued growth of the business.
