We are looking for a Senior Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of experience in the water/wastewater sector to join a specialised team within the Infrastructure Division. This role involves administering construction contracts with a primary focus on MEICA across various contract types, including Uisce Éireann, FIDIC, Public Works, and NEC. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of infrastructure projects for Irish Water and other clients, joining a dynamic team with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as Employer's Representative within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ensure compliance with safety and current standards in project design and construction.
* Liaise with DBO Contractors, Resident Engineering teams, and Client personnel.
* Prepare and present monthly progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
* Attend monthly progress meetings with clients, RE, and contractors.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including local authorities and third-party designers.
* Review Contractor HSQE documentation and submissions, including management plans and risk registers.
* Coordinate responses to RFIs from contractors and review monthly payment applications.
* Assess Contractor performance against contractual KPIs and prepare reports on claims.
Key Skills:
* Familiarity with industry-standard contracts (Uisce Éireann, FIDIC, NEC, Public Works).
* Experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of MEICA systems.
* Knowledge of safety and health regulations relevant to the construction process.
* Strong attention to detail and adherence to Quality Assurance Management Systems.
* Experience in financial management of design and construction budgets.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Membership in a professional engineering body; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
* Flexible, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
