About The Job
We are now looking for a dedicated and motivated Project Support Officer to join our dynamic team.
Salary: £31,586 to £34,314 per annum.
Working pattern: 37 hours per week, with flexible working agreements. We are also open to people wishing to explore flexible/part-time working for example a 9 day fortnight or 30 hours per week.
Contract: Permanent.
Location: County Hall, Chichester. You will have the opportunity to partially work from home, depending on the service needs.
Employer Pension Contribution: 19.70% this alters per annum on the 1 April each year.
Annual leave: 27 days holiday + Bank holidays = 35 days.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the key details that facilitate the smooth execution of our large projects are well managed. This will involve maintaining organised project documents, tracking changes, and overseeing a few smaller related projects from initiation to completion.
As a key contributor to our team, you will gather, coordinate, and analyse crucial management information that drives decision-making and project success. Additionally, you will take the lead in the planning and execution of a diverse range of engaging meetings, seminars, and briefings, all within our established corporate project frameworks.

What we need from you:
* Analytical skills.
* Ability to interpret complex information, e.g. to produce a high-quality document with minimal guidance, develop and manage complex programme plans managing change and progress against these plans to achieve successful outcomes.
* Organisation skills.
* Communication and interpersonal skills.
* IT skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project and Visio and other web-based applications and data management systems, for word processing, analysis and management of data, creating electronic presentations.
* HNC/HND, or equivalent practical experience/range of knowledge. We are also open to supporting the right candidate through this as an Apprenticeship.
* Relevant knowledge of project management processes, procedures and policies associated with working within a demanding project management service.
* Demonstrable experience of working as a competent member of a project or programme team, ideally in a project support role or equivalent.
* Experience of working in a rapidly changing environment and of working within project management systems/practices and providing effective support.
