Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and enhancing patient experience.
Duties
1. Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
2. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations.
3. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
4. Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
5. Process patient information and insurance details accurately.
6. Assist with billing and payment collection as needed.
7. Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
8. Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in an office or administrative role.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in using office equipment and software applications.
5. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
6. A friendly demeanour and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
7. Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
