SEND Support Assistant (Secondary) - Bridge Learning Campus
Contract: Temporary until 31/12/2025 pending review of school funding allocationHours: Mon – Fri, 32.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri 8:15am – 3:15pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break)Start Date: 1st February 2025, or earlier if available
JOB OVERVIEW
We are in a position to appoint a strong candidate to support 1-1 teaching and learning for SEND students at Bridge Learning Campus in Bristol from January 2025 or nearest time to that date. The role is varied, and we are looking for adaptable, flexible and resourceful individuals able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis
Accompanying groups on trips
Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability

This rewarding role would suit career-starters and those with more experience and who may be returning to the workplace after a break. GCSEs in English and maths are helpful, but not essential – if you do not have these, we will support you to study and achieve them.
