Job Description:
Typical Responsibilities
* To expertly handle sprinkler small works installation from initial enquiry through to final accounts working alongside the small works manager.
* Assume specific financial control of projects, delivering the works efficiently and profitably, including responsibility for raising purchase and subcontract orders.
* Effectively manage the installation work on site; attending regular client meetings; having responsibility for health and safety; producing progress updates and reports; and completion of project quality assurance checks.
* Prepare and communicate detailed programmes of work to ensure deadlines and contract requirements are met.
* Liaise with suppliers, design, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and information flow, and accurately report to clients, contractors and governing bodies as necessary and reporting into the small works manager.
* Negotiate, produce small works quotations for contract variations with aid of the small works manager.
* Able to prepare technical reports and submittals including operating and maintenance manuals and handover documents, by collating and presenting relevant information.
* Identify and report deviations or nonconformities from scope, Standards or contract.
* Ability to travel within the UK and visit European suppliers as necessary for the role.
* Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Qualifications
* GCSE in Maths and English - Essential
* Mechanical engineering qualification - Desirable
* NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management - Desirable
* CSCS Construction Skills Card - Desirable
* Health and Safety Qualification, IOSH, SMSTS, etc. - Essential
Experience
* Experience of construction project engineering or management - Essential
* Experience within sprinkler or water mist suppression project engineering or management - Desirable
* Knowledge of current relevant suppression British Standards and Regulations, including LPC 12845, BS 8489, BS 9251, NFPA, FM Global - Desirable
* Knowledge of sprinkler or water mist equipment and installation - Desirable
