Amazing opportunity as a Pricing Analyst in a top law firm!
As the Pricing Analyst, some of your duties will include:
1. Support the Pricing Manager regarding pricing and fee arrangement queries as and when required, for example, preparation of RFP responses and other presentations, and participation in presentations (internally and directly to clients).
2. Model proposed fee arrangements (including preparation of budgets); creating and reviewing reports pertaining to pricing.
3. Have a strong understanding of Rates Process within 3E to include applying and implementing Rate Sets.
4. Develop a good understanding of the Evaluate pricing tool, provide functional and administrative support, maintaining a close working relationship with the Financial Systems team.
5. Develop a good understanding of phase templates and how these relate to time recording.
6. Provide training to the Firm on the Evaluate pricing tool.
7. Support the business with maintenance of work types and their relationship to phase templates.
8. Assist in the annual rate setting process including annual matter/exception rate review.
9. Coach partners and fee earners in the use of the Evaluate pricing tool and assist in the development of matter budgets.
10. Maintain phase templates/work types with Heads of Groups and consider any requests that may arise to amend them.
11. Maintain a close working relationship with the Reporting and Analysis and Revenue teams, assisting with analysis on client rates, fee structures and discounts, advising Partners on how to improve profitability through altering them.
To be successful in this Pricing Analyst role you must have:
1. Relevant Pricing experience.
2. Ideally pricing experience within a law firm or other area of Professional Services.
3. An understanding of pricing, calculating fee arrangements and the levers affecting profitability.
4. Experience of influencing decision makers and Partners on pricing issues and working capital, and have the confidence to explain and justify proposals.
5. Excel skills demonstrating use of pivot tables, v-lookups, macros etc. Knowledge of Power BI is not essential but would be advantageous.
