Job Opportunity: Accounts Administrator (Full Time, 12-Month Contract)

£12.05 - £18.00ph depending on experience
We are currently seeking an Accounts Administrator to join our Finance team on a 12-month contract, based at our Luton Manufacturing site. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the Accounts Payable ledger, liaising with suppliers, and collaborating with our procurement team to ensure swift resolution of any issues.
Position Details:
Type: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Location: Luton Manufacturing Site
Contract Duration: 12 months
Working Hours: Flexibility is offered, but core hours of 09:00 to 15:00 must be covered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and control the Accounts Payable ledger
2. Handle creditor reporting and supplier queries
3. Produce and maintain Accounts Payable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
4. Support the month-end financial closing process
5. Record Accounts Payable invoices accurately
6. Participate in internal audits (where applicable)
7. Execute weekly payment runs in various currencies
8. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Energy procedures
9. Produce monthly statement reconciliations
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
1. AAT or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting
2. Experience in the Manufacturing industry is a plus
Due to the nature of the business, candidates must be sole British nationals and must be able to provide a continuous 5-year work and residence history without any gaps exceeding 28 days. This is essential to meet the security requirements of the role.
