We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker (x2) to join our Connecting Families team and help shape the future of family support.
Why Bridgend?

As part of our Connecting Families team, you’ll take a person-centered approach to work with children, young people, and their families, delivering responsive and flexible support to foster safety, well-being, and long-term resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based, tailored interventions to families, working flexibly to meet their needs.
Hold an individual caseload, providing intensive support to families.
Work within a collaborative team to respond to crisis situations calmly and effectively.
Support families to achieve lasting positive changes through a strengths-based approach.
Engage with service users through morning, evening, and weekend work as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified in Health & Social Care (QCF Level 3 or equivalent).
Experienced in working with children, young people, and families, ideally within health, social care, or the voluntary sector.
Knowledgeable about child and vulnerable adult protection and the legislative framework supporting family work.
A resilient and adaptable individual, comfortable with varied and flexible hours.
A valid UK driving license and the ability to communicate through Welsh are advantageous.
What We Offer:
Join Bridgend’s Connecting Families team and become part of a council committed to family well-being and innovative support solutions. Bridgend offers a supportive environment for professional growth and the chance to make a tangible impact on the lives of families in our community.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
