Local Buyer WHAT YOU WILL DO This position will initially be working within project purchasing and will subsequently transfer to direct purchasing once this project has been completed. The successful candidate will ensure timely selection of suppliers, taking into consideration the material group strategy as well as the early integration of suppliers in the development process. As part of the role, you will conduct new launches (serial components and external tooling) and actively participate in the phase-out planning of assembly groups / components. Complete supplier assessments, supplier selection and supplier co-development taking into account the current material group strategies. Evaluate inquiries and tenders as well as make decisions considering internal contract awarding conferences under participation of divisions such as R&D, Quality and Production. Negotiate costs and conditions (incl. batch sizes, packaging and shipping concepts) by making use of a qualified supplier portfolio and all procurement leverages. Act as internal supplier of information in the field of procurement, market research and trend scouting. Perform group-wide coordination and implementation of a pre-defined material group strategy on an international basis. Ensure a high level of quality management including initiating and executing audits, actively cooperating in the component validation process and executing quality workshops for supplier qualification. WHAT YOU BRING ALONG Preferably degree educated and/or MCIPS qualified. Previous experience in a procurement role is essential. A good understanding of MS Office and ideally you will have knowledge of SAP. Great analytical and interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to work. You should be highly organised and an active team player.
