Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Revit Technician to join our client's Building Services team in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality Building Information Modelling (BIM) designs and technical drawings for a range of building services projects. This position is ideal for an individual with strong proficiency in Revit, a keen interest in the building services sector, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Revit Modelling: Develop and manage Revit models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including coordination with other disciplines (architectural, structural, etc.).
BIM Coordination: Ensure that all building services designs are aligned with BIM standards and project requirements, and assist in resolving clashes between different systems using Navisworks or other clash detection tools.
Technical Drawings: Produce detailed and accurate technical drawings and schematics for MEP systems using Revit, ensuring all designs meet industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of services and timely project delivery.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks on Revit models and drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
Client Liaison: Participate in meetings with clients and contractors as necessary to discuss project progress, modifications, and technical solutions.
Documentation: Maintain clear and organised project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction details.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Revit and BIM technologies and contribute to process improvements within the team.Key Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a Revit Technician within the building services sector, with a strong understanding of MEP systems and BIM processes.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software (Navisworks, BIM 360, etc.).
Knowledge: A solid understanding of building services engineering principles, building regulations, and industry standards (e.g., RIBA, CIBSE).
Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or similar (e.g., HNC/HND, BEng).
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to create accurate, high-quality models and drawings.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and clients.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Desirable Skills:
Experience with other BIM software tools, such as AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP.
