Project Manager Location: Liverpool Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Competitive About the Opportunity Our client, a leading Built Environment Consultancy, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their project management team in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects across diverse sectors, including collaborations with world-leading blue-chip clients, top-tier sporting teams, automotive OEMs, groundbreaking R&D organisations, and prestigious academic research institutes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, articulate, and personable, with the ability to manage complex issues and lead multidisciplinary teams. Role and Responsibilities Develop detailed client briefs and establish responsibilities for consultants and specialists. Serve as the single point of contact for all aspects of the project, ensuring clear lines of communication and reporting with clients and design teams. Oversee feasibility studies, including site surveys, investigations, and evaluations. Manage project finances from inception to completion, including cash flow forecasts, expenditure monitoring, and client payment recommendations. Administer contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) and manage project documentation, programs, budgets, and risk registers. Monitor contractor progress against contract programs and ensure compliance with design specifications. Liaise with clients on deviations from specifications, budgets, and other project elements. Conduct pre-start and handover meetings while ensuring adherence to CDM regulations throughout project delivery. Chair progress, coordination, and project meetings throughout the contract period. Prepare regular client reports, manage logistics, and ensure resource allocation aligns with project requirements. Oversee inspection, scheduling, and acceptance of works under defects liability and maintenance provisions. Skills and Experience Required Proven project management experience, ideally within a construction consultancy. Working towards or willing to pursue professional chartership (RICS, CIOB, RIBA, MICE). Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and client presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project. Track record of successfully leading and delivering complex and challenging projects. Strong client management skills and experience preparing winning tender submissions.
