Main duties of the job Ensure the effective delivery of a high standard of nursing care for all patients within the research pathway by providing clinical nursing leadership, direction, supervision and maintaining effective systems of work. To coordinate and expand specialty teams research study portfolios, focusing on increasing both NIHR portfolio and commercial study activity. To liaise closely with external partners, specialty research leads, the Trust's research department, external regulatory agencies, and funding bodies to facilitate the delivery of high-quality research across designated clinical specialities. Through effective leadership plan, co-ordinate, implement and deliver clinical research activities across assigned teams in partnership with study investigators and research support teams. Ensure efficient and effective use of resources, work closely with the research finance team to ensure accurate recordkeeping of research appointments on departmental recruitment platforms to recover funding. Manage assigned research teams, ensuring safe and effective staffing levels and the appropriate skill mix are maintained, including the co-ordination of leave and duty rosters. At all times adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct, working within the research regulatory and legal frameworks for clinical trials (e.g., International Conference on Harmonisation of Good Clinical Practice in Clinical Trials (ICH-GCP), operating within the NMC Scope of Professional Practice).
