About the role Here at Verve we are looking for an organised and proactive Business Operations Support person to assist with all things involved with internal business operations. This is a newly created role, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone to support our growing business. We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to support a wide range of business functions. This role covers the following areas: Office operations support such as welcoming visitors to the Darlington office (so you need to be able to commute to here), answering calls, setting up meeting rooms, purchasing stock, running errands, and distributing gifts Providing an amazing first impression of Verve. IT administration and support – including managing equipment, printers and troubleshooting general IT issues. General administration supporting the senior team with various tasks. Operational support to The Verve Foundation projects (our not-for-profit business) including diary co-ordination, cohort management and sending newsletters. Recruitment administration – liaising with candidates, supporting with the process from start to finish ensuring seamless co-ordination. Supporting the business with tasks and projects where needed. About you For this role, we're keen for the individual to hit the ground running so we are looking for someone with a proactive and problem-solving mindset who thrives in a supportive role and can quickly adapt to new challenges. We’re looking to find someone who loves to be a team player finding it rewarding to support their colleagues in the day-to-day, which truly helps the business achieve its overall goals. We request applicants have: Qualification in Business Administration or at least 3 years' proven experience in internal business support, with strong organisational skills. Confidence in troubleshooting IT issues, using and setting up IT equipment including laptops and screens (experience in Macbooks is a plus) Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities. Experience in project and task management, ensuring projects are completed efficiently. Proven ability to prioritise and work towards tight deadlines. Experience in diary co-ordination. Proficient in using task management systems, and Microsoft 365 applications. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Full, clean driving licence is essential. Additional desirable attributes are: Experience in working in recruitment - pipelines and communications. Knowledge of IT systems and equipment management.
