Business Development Associate Manager

About the role
In this newly created role your purpose is to grow SCJ’s distribution and sales, through excellent communication and planning with retailers. As this is a new role you will have the scope to build and grow it to deliver the best results for SCJ.
About the Team/Department
Reporting to the Sales Director, this is a standalone role that will span across commercial functions (sales, marketing, category) bringing together Brand and Retailer strategies to win with shoppers.
Responsibilities:
1. Be the voice of the shopper and customer: find and leverage shopper/consumer insights to lead engaging and compelling narratives to allow SCJ to gain distribution.
2. Lead preparation of SCJ’s communication with retailers working with Marketing and Sales managers to ensure our messages land with impact against SCJ and retailers’ strategies. This will be in Brand Planning Meetings and other touchpoints that allow SCJ to work with retailers to drive mutual growth.
3. Connect with Media and creative agencies to get what is needed for impactful presentations of Brands creativity and media plans for customers and internal communications
4. Attend key customer meetings /or make presentations to present itself or support the key account managers / marketing leaders with creative marketing ideas and excellence.
5. To work with internal stakeholders to build NPD proposals (including live demos) that ensure that our innovation is highly distributed across channels.
6. To share publicly available data about competitors communication
7. To take the lead in running our Sales and Marketing integration ensuring that timely action plans are shared and implemented, keeping track of progress against agreed plans.
8. Identify new opportunities / customers to grow SCJ distribution.
9. To investigate new channels
Experience you’ll bring:
10. Good experience of Account Management and experience of working with UK retailers
11. Working cross functionally to be the link between Sales, Marketing and Category
12. A good understanding of the UK retail landscape and how to bring that to life
13. Marketing experience desired, but not essential

14. Strong storytelling and communication skills allowing you to land messages with impact by transforming complex data and insights into actionable plans.
15. Good project management experience and drive to succeed
