Are you an experienced leader passionate about delivering transformative digital projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? We're seeking a Digital Delivery Lead to drive delivery excellence across our Digital Engineering team. This pivotal role ensures alignment, clarity, and successful outcomes for some of the UK's most recognised retail brands.
In this role, you will lead a team of Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters, championing Agile practices, fostering collaboration, and delivering value across all digital workstreams.
Location: Hybrid, with 2 days at home and 3 days in our Shirebrook HQ.
Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Coach and empower Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters to proactively manage their workstreams and adopt best practices across all digital projects.
* Delivery Oversight: Own the reporting of work progress, timelines, and relevant metrics to create visibility and drive informed decision-making.
* Collaboration: Partner with Product teams to ensure timelines for prioritised initiatives are realistic and clearly communicated.
* Resource Planning: Oversee cross-team resource planning, supporting Squad Leads and their squads in delivering commitments effectively, and escalating risks before they become blockers.
* Agile Champion: Drive the pragmatic adoption and evolution of Agile practices, tailoring approaches to fit the unique needs of a fast-paced, evolving organization.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across the Digital department to triage issues, communicate dependencies and blockers, and align priorities with business outcomes.
* Governance and Process Improvement: Develop and refine processes and templates that standardize and streamline delivery, ensuring they work within a lean structure and support rapid time-to-market.
* Risk Management: Identify and resolve delivery challenges to align workstreams with timelines and business objectives.

What we are looking for?
Essential:
* Proven Leadership: 8+ years of experience in Delivery Management, including at least 2 years in a lead role, with a track record of driving successful digital projects.
* Stakeholder Management: Skilled in aligning and managing diverse stakeholders' expectations while focusing on delivery goals.
* Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and the ability to apply them effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Strategic Oversight: Strong knowledge of delivery lifecycle processes, controls, strategies, and methods, with the ability to plan and coordinate cross-team initiatives.
* Technical Awareness: Familiarity with modern engineering practices, including architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation.
* Proactive Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve issues that may impede project progress.
* Collaboration and Influence: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to coach teams and bring stakeholders along on the journey.
Desirable:
* Experience in the eCommerce/Retail industry.
* Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, CSM) or Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
