It Support Specialist - Contract
EdTech, £200 p/day Outside IR35, 5 days onsite in London
You will:
1. Administer the company's IT estate such as Google Workspace, Jumpcloud MDM, ESET anti virus, managing/reviewing access and updating configurations where required. Monitor the performance of our infrastructure and internal networks, and where appropriate take corrective action.
2. Work with external 3rd party suppliers to purchase new IT hardware / software and/or raise support issues, managing them to a successful conclusion.
3. Prioritise, research, manage and deliver a range of IT projects to successful completion, managing stakeholder expectations and communications along the way.
4. Configure new and existing Macs / PCs / mobile devices as part of the company's joiners and leavers processes and life cycling of equipment.
5. Document processes and share knowledge and discoveries within the IT Operations team.
6. Manage local IT network hardware across multiple locations, ensuring network resources are secure and available.
7. Enhance and troubleshoot audio visual and conferencing equipment.
Essentials
8. At least 2-years experience in providing professional IT support.
9. Positive can-do attitude along with excellent interpersonal and
communication skills
10. In depth knowledge of Windows OS, Mac OS, Google Workspace
administration and ecosystem, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Identity
and Access Management (IAM)
11. Experience in software and hardware procurement.
12. Logical thinker with good analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving
skills
13. Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
Nice to haves
14. BSc in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
15. Configuration and response to Anti virus software and Nessus vulnerability
scanning
16. Security principles and their application
17. Some Linux experience is desirable
18. AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud technologies
19. AV Conferencing kit connectivity and troubleshooting
20. Projects and stakeholder management
