Who are we? We’re The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, a well-established charity located at 20 Dumbreck Road, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow G41 5BW. The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting, progressive illness, and support for their families and carers.
We are excited to welcome a dynamic and experienced Finance Assistant to our small, close-knit team. In this pivotal role, you'll support financial reporting by ensuring that transactions and information are processed efficiently and accurately. You'll thrive in our collaborative environment working with the finance team whilst also supporting departments across the hospice with questions and requests for information.
The Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will:
* Raise and issue sales invoices, allocating income to customer accounts.
* Ad hoc credit control.
* Handle bank transactions and assist with bank reconciliations.
* Process purchase invoices.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve internal and supplier queries.
* Manage expense claims and company credit card reconciliations.
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience of working in a finance team, with knowledge of purchase and sales ledger, reconciliations, and invoicing.
* Proficient IT skills and competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Experience of using Xero accounting software, or similar.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
