Job Summary
We are seeking to appoint a well-organised and enthusiastic Operations Administrator to support key operational and supply chain activities for our client in the Maesteg area. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to grow into a manufacturing planning or supply chain support role. The successful candidate will be trained on systems and processes and will provide vital administrative support to ensure the smooth running of production planning, inventory tracking, and general operations. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support. This position requires a blend of organisational skills, clerical expertise, and proficiency in various software applications to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Duties
Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the operations and supply chain team, ensuring accurate data entry, report generation and communication tracking
Inventory Updates: Assist in monitoring stock levels and updating the ERP system (EFACS) with inventory movements, stock checks and adjustments under guidance
Purchase Order Processing: Support the raising, checking and expediting of purchase orders for materials and components as instructed by the team
Supplier Follow-Up: Maintain a log of open orders and follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates, escalating delays to relevant colleagues
Data Maintenance: Ensure records and data in EFACS are kept up to date, supporting wider team use for planning and analysis
Support to Production Planning: Help prepare and issue production schedules, reports, and documentation as required
Documentation and Filing: Maintain electronic and physical records of supply chain documents and reports to support compliance and audit readiness
Team Coordination: Attend planning and supply chain meetings to take notes, update trackers and follow up on routine actions
Skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information responsibly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with colleagues and clients professionally.
Essential Requirements:

Desirable (Training will be provided):
Some experience in an office, logistics production or admin role (not essential)

Salary:
£24,000 per annum
This role is temporary however for the right candidates there will be the possibility for a permanent position and further training and development opportunities to expand knowledge in materials planning or production.
