Job Title: Contract SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: SEND Provision in Orpington Contract Type: Temporary/Contract Daily Rate: £85 - £100 (depending on experience) Outstanding SEND Provision located in Orpington that caters to children and young people (primary up to post-16 ages) with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), physical disabilities, learning difficulties, Down Syndrome, and wheelchair users. This SEND Provision is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a contract position Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm who can start straight away The successful SEN TA will support children with This role involves both 1:1 support and classroom assistance. You will be able to build a strong rapport with children and be empathetic to their needs. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a SEND setting. Knowledge and experience in supporting students with PMLD, SLD, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, Down Syndrome, and wheelchair users. Ability to provide personal care and support to students with physical disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You have an in date enhanced DBS on the update service You live in easy commutable distance to Orpington via car or public transport. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Provide 1:1 support to students with PMLD, SLD, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, Down Syndrome, and wheelchair users. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Support students with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance. Implement behaviour management strategies to support students' social and emotional development. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Adapt classroom activities, materials, and equipment to meet the diverse needs of students. Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages student independence and confidence. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. SEN2
