We’re currently recruiting for a dedicated and skilled First Responder to join our team, playing a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests and colleagues. As the only UK attraction focused on “making Britain happy,” we take great pride in providing world-class care for everyone who visits or works at the resort. The Role: As a First Responder at Alton Towers Resort, you’ll be based in our on-site medical centre but will also respond to incidents across the resort, from the theme park to the hotels, and even assist in off-site calls when necessary. You will use your medical expertise to provide prompt, professional treatment to guests and colleagues in a variety of situations. You will also play a vital role in supporting special events, including conducting drug and alcohol testing. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Security and Medical teams to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Key Responsibilities: Provide immediate medical care to guests and colleagues during incidents on-site and respond to local offsite calls when required. Assist with medical coverage for special events at the resort. Conduct drug and alcohol testing as part of our health and safety procedures. Work closely with the Security and Medical teams to ensure a coordinated approach to emergency responses. Keep accurate records of all medical interventions and tests conducted. Primarily work during the day, but flexibility to work nights when required for specific events or circumstances. About You: We are looking for a motivated and compassionate First Responder who is ready to take on a dynamic role. Our ideal candidate will have: A current WMAS registered Community First Responder qualification, or a FREC 3 qualification (minimum). Willingness to gain the WMAS First Responder qualification within 12 months if not already certified. Strong ability to remain calm under pressure and provide clear, effective medical care in emergency situations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A proactive approach to work, with a focus on guest and employee wellbeing. Flexibility in working hours, weekends and Bank Holidays, including availability to work occasional night shifts when needed.
