Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to take command of our client in all modes of operation. The OIM is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while leading and motivating the crew.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Safety
* Assume full command of the unit, ensuring all operations align with safety and regulatory standards.
* Perform the role of Barge Supervisor, including jacking operations, when required.
* Implement and enforce the Integrated Management System and QHSE policies.
* Conduct operational meetings, safety briefings, and toolbox talks to ensure clarity and preparedness.
* Oversee material purchasing, repairs, and movements in compliance with company and client procedures.
* Ensure all reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities
* Demonstrate personal commitment to Client’s Safety Management System.
* Ensure risk assessments and toolbox talks are conducted for all operations.
* Achieve and maintain safety objectives set by the Client.
* Ensure all personnel and subcontractors follow the Permit to Work System.
* Maintain housekeeping at Client’s safety and operational standards.
* Ensure a complete certification package is maintained for Class and all equipment.
* Initiate investigation teams for personnel injuries, high-potential near misses, equipment damage, or significant downtime incidents.
* Report all near-miss incidents, accidents, and damages.
* Conduct job audits to assess performance against safety policies and procedures.
* Continuously strive for safety improvements and ensure follow-up on outstanding audit points.
* Promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and pollution prevention.
Crew Management & Training
* Motivate and supervise crew members to ensure compliance with safety policies and operational procedures.
* Ensure handover briefings include critical safety and operational information.
* Maintain correct manning levels with qualified and competent personnel.
* Monitor and facilitate training to ensure personnel competency as per Client's policy.
* Ensure emergency preparedness by conducting regular drills as per the Emergency Response Plan.
* Lead and coordinate all emergency situations onboard.
* Manage and control all discharges to the sea and take necessary actions to prevent pollution.
Maintenance & Operational Efficiency
* Oversee the preventative maintenance system, ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose with proper certification.
* Maintain the visual appearance of the unit and equipment to Client standards.
* Plan operations to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
* Address concerns raised by the Client’s representatives and ensure smooth communication with the Rig Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience as an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) on a self-propelled jack-up barge.
* Strong knowledge of marine, deck, and technical operations.
* Extensive experience with QHSE regulations and emergency response protocols.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Certification in OIM, Barge Supervisor, and Safety Management preferred.
