Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialist Northumberland provision to recruit two Community based teachers to support pupils who are unable to access the curriculum within a school setting. This position will be based in and around Morpeth, travelling to pupils homes and community centres to work with them on a 1:1 basis (so you must have access to a reliable vehicle). The main focus of the role is to build up young pupils confidence and willingness to participate. You will not be expeced to plan rigorous academic lessons, but must be happy to prepare difference resources alongside worksheets etc. The pupils accessing this provision most commonly have had Adverse Childhood Experiences, Trauma, Speech, Language and Comunication issues and/or Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours. You will be responsible for planning and scheduling visists and will have the supprot of an extremely dedicated SLT team to report back to. You do not need to be a fully qualified teacher for this role, experience in education is desirable and experience with SEN is essential. This position is to start ASAP subject to a sucessful interview, initially this will commence on a supply basis but has strong potential to become permanent for the right educators.
