Job Summary: As a Registered Manager within the Complex Care division, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of care packages for clients with complex needs. You will lead a team to ensure high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and the operational success of your region. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning capabilities, and a deep understanding of the care sector.
You will work closely with internal teams, commissioners, and external stakeholders to ensure care packages are launched, managed, and continuously improved. You will also maintain relationships with key stakeholders, support the head of operations with CQC compliance, and ensure that service delivery meets company expectations.
Responsibilities:
Client Accountability:
* Oversee the accountability for the care provided to clients, ensuring the highest level of service and safety.
Commissioner Relationships:
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with commissioners to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Work across functions to ensure new care packages are launched appropriately and safely.
Utilization Management:
* Ensure all clients have appropriate care coverage, with full accountability for care package utilization.
Strategic Market Engagement:
* Support the Head of Operations, in leading market engagement initiatives to drive growth and visibility
CQC Compliance:
* Support the Head of Operations in maintaining full compliance with CQC standards, ensuring branch and care practices adhere to all relevant regulations.
Team Development:
* Lead the training and competency development of the Complex Care team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Complaint Handling:
* Manage and resolve client and staff complaints effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
On-Call Management:
* Ensure on-call services are covered outside of office hours, maintaining seamless care delivery.
Stakeholder Relationships:
* Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including commissioners and external partners.
Process Improvement:
* Continually review and enhance internal processes to ensure the highest level of service and care delivery.
Company Promotion:
* Actively promote the company’s services, contributing to business development and market visibility.
Operational Performance:
* Be accountable for the operational performance of assigned regions, ensuring consistent delivery of care.
Service Visits:
* Conduct regular service visits to maintain managed accounts and meet company expectations for client interaction.
Rota Planning & Emergency Provision:
* Take full accountability for strategic rota planning and emergency care provision, ensuring all carers are provided at the right time, place, and person.
Training & Education:
* Maintain personal education and training, ensuring it is up to date and aligned with sector best practices.
Clinical Care Collaboration:
* Work closely with the Clinical Lead on all clinical care packages to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Care planning system:
* Accountable for ensuring that all relevant documentation relating to all care packages is uploaded, acknowledged and signed by the team assigned to each case before the bookings team places candidates into any package of care.
Ongoing audits:
* Monthly audit carried out of each care package on care planning system to ensure all notifications have been accepted
Qualifications,:
* Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Healthcare (or currently enrolled).
* At least 3+ years of experience in a senior or management role within the care sector, or equivalent experience deputizing for a senior leader.
* Target Driven: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance targets and KPIs.
* Change Management: Proven experience in delivering change and driving growth in a dynamic care environment.
* Ambition & Passion: A deep passion for providing outstanding care to clients, coupled with a strong desire to grow and succeed in a leadership role.
* Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of CQC regulations and experience in maintaining compliance in a healthcare setting.
* Stakeholder Management: Experience in building and maintaining relationships with commissioners and other key stakeholders.
