An exciting opportunity has become available for a part time Mental Health Support Workers to be based within Community Mental Health Team in Mid Argyll. The role is to support our Multi-disciplinary team to provide targeted support to people with moderate to severe mental health problems under the supervision of mental health professionals within the team. The post holder will be required to work to a specific plan of care for service user and to contribute to initiating, developing and reviewing the care plan. The support worker will be expected to work within a recovery model, utilising a person-centred approach in order to work towards maximising independence for all service users. The work is interesting and varied and will include working with individuals in their own homes and the community and may include inreach to support Discharge Planning and Transition. The successful candidate will be an able communicator who is self motivated, person-centred and outcome focused in their approach and who has experience or an interest in working within Mental Health care.
