Job Advert Role Description
Hobbits Holt is a 24/7 residential care facility providing support to 6 individuals. This role consists of 30 hours on the floor and 7.5 hours supernumerary, which will involve evenings and weekends.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be confident enough to make autonomous decisions while being collaborative enough to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You should ideally have significant previous Deputy Manager experience and demonstrate true commitment to your own personal development and that of your wider team.
You will need to be caring, professional, possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to build solid working relationships.
To be a Deputy Manager, you should be flexible and have experience in leading a team, as well as demonstrate experience and knowledge of supporting people in a proactive, person-centred way. You must have the experience and confidence to deal with individuals with Mental Health issues and Non-verbal communication needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Home Manager in ensuring that the home is maintained in accordance with our regulatory bodies.
2. Line manage the senior team to ensure high standards of care and service are achieved within the home to regulatory standards.
3. Support the Home Manager in managing resources to maximize sales and profits.
4. Support residents to live as independently as possible (including personal care).
5. Act as a senior member of staff on shift and confidently support our residents and staff team.
6. Build and maintain lasting relationships with residents and their families.
7. Take residents out for activities such as walking, visits to local cafes, lunch clubs, coffee mornings, singing groups, and outdoor parks and gardens.
8. Drivers should be able to go further afield for longer day trips and events.
9. Contribute to the on-call rota and varied shift patterns.
10. Work with a great team.
