Job Title: Occupational Therapist -Adult Social Care Team

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Housing, Health, and Adult Social Care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering the development of service provision. This includes utilising specialised skills, knowledge, and understanding to promote independence, choice, and control for service users. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, ensuring high standards of professional practice and adherence to council policies and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide practice supervision for students on placements and support Occupational Therapy Assistants as required.
* Uphold high-quality standards throughout assessment and service delivery.
* Implement policies such as Safeguarding Adults and Health and Safety, while staying updated on relevant legislation and guidance.
* Manage, monitor, and review care plans, collaborating with users, carers, and other agencies.
* Participate in the development and management of team systems, including data recording and analysis.
* Encourage customer participation, initiate research, and recommend best practices for service development.
* Undertake complex assessments, care planning, and facilitate the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations.
Person Specification:
Essential Requirements:
* Fluent in spoken English with excellent communication skills.
* Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC.
* Experience in health or social care settings with a range of adults.
* Ability to prepare professional reports and support plans.
* Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidance.
* Experience working with multiple agencies and autonomously managing caseloads.
* Flexibility in working times and locations, including occasional extended hours.
Desirable Requirements:
* Knowledge of strength-based approaches and willingness to undergo specialist training.
* Up-to-date moving and handling of people certificate.

Qualifications & Professional Registration:
