The Role This role is for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our Revenue Management Department. The role will include data analysis, machine learning, statistical modelling, and data engineering principles, with a focus on revenue optimization and pricing strategies. It will take a main role in the development and maintenance of our Revenue. Management System, YODA. The role will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decisions, shaping our revenue strategy, and leading complex projects that impact the entire organization. An essential part of this role is the ability to translate scientific outputs into actionable business insights, ensuring that data science initiatives directly support business objectives. You will: - Analyse large datasets to extract meaningful insights related to revenue trends, patterns, and anomalies. - Develop, implement, and optimise advanced machine learning models and algorithms to predict revenue outcomes and optimise pricing strategies. - Champion the role of science in advancing their revenue management capability across the business and at the appropriate level so that it is fully understood by all. - Collaborate with data engineers to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support revenue management initiatives. Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK07 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, including up to two days from home. About You Fresh ideas and different perspectives are what excite us most and help us to succeed. Alongside bringing these to the role, you'll also need: - Excellent mathematical, computer and analytical skills. - Experience with SQL - Proven Operations Research/Data Science experience post masters applying research and other advanced methodologies to solve complex issues / strategic business problems, or a PhD in a relevant field. - Very strong analytical, statistical and modelling skills, with experience manipulating and 'making sense' of data from disparate systems. - Demonstrable experience within R/Python.
