Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced, skilled professional to join our Trauma and Resilience Services (TRS) Pathfinders team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative, developmental service dedicated to providing high-quality consultation and teaching for professionals and organisations strengthening support for individuals who have experienced complex trauma, often related to sexual exploitation and abuse.
We are a small specialist multi-disciplinary team and we value the contribution that differing professions make, working in collaboration. Therefore, this role is open to applicants across a number of disciplines including social workers, mental health nurses, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, or psychoanalytic psychotherapists, with a solid background in complex trauma and adult mental health. If you are ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding position, this role offers you the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and in trauma-informed service delivery across South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
Main duties of the job
The TRS Pathfinders team offers a unique and meaningful opportunity to impact lives, reduce health inequalities, and shape a supportive, trauma-informed environment across the region. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary setting with structured clinical supervision and professional growth opportunities, as well as contribute directly to the Trust’s vision of fostering resilience within trauma-informed care.
As a member of the TRS team, you will play an instrumental role in developing pathways and providing specialized support for survivors of childhood sexual exploitation (CSE) and non-recent sexual abuse (CSA).
The post holder will be supported to develop a portfolio of work linked to their interests and skills in relation to complex trauma, educating staff and promoting organizational resilience in this area. While this is primarily a staff and system support role, where applicable, the post holder may contribute and develop their direct clinical expertise in trauma through an indicative case load in a defined mental health team by agreement.
Overarchingly, the team takes a systems psychodynamic approach to service design for complex trauma utilizing a range of research and clinical theories.
