Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Catering Supervisor based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
1. You will be responsible for the daily preparation and production of food for patients, staff, visitors, and Adhoc functions in a manner that reflects high standards of culinary practice.
2. You will oversee the economic use of catering provisions, materials, and all resources.
3. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of all catering staff.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
1. Good Communication is essential as you will communicate at various levels on a daily basis relating to service requirements e.g. staff issues, nursing staff, clinicians, managers, public visitors.
2. You must be numerate/literate for the daily checking and completion of all relevant department records for compliance.
3. You will have the ability to use your own initiative to make basic decisions regarding workload priorities.
4. A degree of flexibility is essential as the catering department operates between the hours of 06:30 until 21:00 daily.
Hours: 18.15 hours per week (15:30 - 21:00/15 - 7 days on & 7 days off)
