We are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join our friendly team. Assisting the service charge accounts manager to continue to provide effective and efficient financial administration within block management.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
The ideal candidate needs to be organised, enthusiastic, friendly, reliable and trustworthy with excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail. They will need to be ready to adapt to a wide range of tasks that could arise and vary from day to day.
General day to day tasks include:
* Provide general support to the service charge accounts manager as required
* Daily input of leaseholder standing order payments received on our specialised software
* Processing purchase invoices and allocate to the correct expense code using our specialised software
* Deal with utility companies to resolve any billing issues
* Manually send service charge demands and other letters as and when required
* Receive incoming telephone calls and direct calls appropriately
* To prepare and provide appropriate financial information as required
* Contractor statement reconciliations
* Dealing with contractor queries
* Dealing with Leaseholder accounts enquiries by e-mail and telephone
* Various ad hoc duties as and when required

* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
* Record transactional data.

Your training plan
Our training is typically one day a week. We have classroom learning and flexible LIVE online learning with our qualified tutor, based in Hertfordshire.
You will be working towards gaining the Finance Assistant Apprenticeship AAT Level 2 qualification.
