L&D Partner Field Based UK Salary up to £50K The L&D Partner at Tortilla will be accountable for creating and implementing agreed training strategies across our UK sites. Playing a key role in our L&D team, you will be responsible for the training and development of our leadership talent in our regions. You will work to build and sustain strong relationships, partnering with our Operations team and managers, helping them to deliver and achieve their goals. This is a full-time, field-based position that will require a high level of travel throughout the UK, including spending time in our support centre in London. Responsibilities Identify training and development requirements by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Regional Operations Managers and General Managers. Design, create and deliver tailored material and training, ensuring workshops and sessions are engaging and interactive. Produce training materials for in-house training needs. Take ownership for setting up and managing our buddy trainers, who will deliver inductions for our new team members. Set our managers up for success allowing them to conduct their own training with their new hires, special events, new product, and menu launches, product upselling and driving sales through great service. Monitor compliance training through regular reporting, followed up with action plans to ensure 100% completion. Work closely with the Head of L&D to collaborate and manage our existing apprenticeship programme, developing and supporting apprentices throughout their learning journey. Manage relationships with Centres of Excellence trainers to ensure the consistent delivery of our manager-in-training (MIT) programme. Skills, experience, and behaviours Proven track record of identifying needs, creating, and designing high quality programmes, materials and workshops. Strong experience in delivering engaging, impactful, and accessible training. Ability to work in an agile environment where you can respond flexibly and efficiently to stakeholder/business requirements. A background in leadership development – supporting career pathways at management and head office levels. Excellent communication skills – the ability to build rapport and adapt style accordingly. Passion and interest for food, service, and the hospitality industry. Flexible to travel across the UK. To succeed in this position the successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience of most aspects of a training cycle, have a track record in designing from scratch, as well as delivering training from different aspects of a career path and be confident with both hands on on-job coaching and running group training sessions. The ideal candidate will be a proven, ‘hands on’ trainer, with skills and experience of designing and delivering a range of training materials and methods of training delivery.
