EICA Manager - ESD
Stepps
Working as part of our ESD Joint Venture framework, Galliford Try are now looking for an EICA Manager to join our team to be based out of Stepps office in Glasgow.
What you will be doing:
1. You will report directly to the Head of Delivery and your role will be responsible for leadership and management of the M&E Project Engineering and Supervisory staff throughout the framework.
2. Responsible for programme wide M&E delivery in a safe and efficient manner, covering Outline Design to Project Acceptance stages of the project life cycle. This will be achieved by working with other members of the programme team in an integrated manner to ensure overall programme performance (including design, procurement, project controls and contract administration).
3. Possess the skills and ability to promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each team member is fully engaged and making a meaningful contribution, whilst encouraging a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
4. Build and maintain relationships with third party delivery partners, whilst challenging to ensure value for money.
5. Accountable for the effective management of M&E aspects of the project life cycle including supply chain design, procurement, construction, commissioning and hand over to the Client, all in compliance with agreed commercial criteria, milestone dates including contract commencement and completion dates, current Health and Safety legislation including CDM Regulations.
6. Contribute to a cohesive team environment thereby mitigating the potential for conflict and dispute, and maximising the team's ability to achieve cost and time benefits.
7. Monitor performance of delivery partners and act where necessary in respect of both their capability and performance.
8. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
9. Implement Safety Management Systems and personally set the standard of zero tolerance of unsafe practices and occurrences.
10. Provide guidance and support to project teams in management of risks and issues.
11. Support implementation of line HR policies and practices.
12. Create an environment for exceptional team performance.
13. Ensure the teams, roles, skills and behaviour are aligned with project requirements.
14. Optimise resource utilisation to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
About you:
1. Able to demonstrate an extensive track record of project/business delivery within a design and build environment or related industries.
2. Should have the capability of understanding the complexity of a Major Project and believe in its value and future success.
3. Previous M&E delivery a distinct advantage.
4. Sound project management and commercial judgement.
5. Understanding of H&S legislation.
6. QA Systems and Process.
7. Appreciation of the commercial implications of project delays.
8. Experience of multiple projects and different roles within them (such as managing packages). A strong technical capability in EICA project delivery and commissioning preferably in the Water Industry.
9. Working knowledge of SCADA.
