For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:
* Evidence of Catholic Church Approval: Applicants must seek approval from the Catholic Church when submitting their application. A copy of the approval must be provided to the Chair of the Panel before the interview. If approval is pending, confirmation of submission will be sought from the Church Representative.
* Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate for permanent posts in denominational primary schools. Forms and information are available at Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES).
* Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants need RC Approval for the specific school. Details are available at the same SCES website.
Responsibilities
This position is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Membership in the PVG scheme is required, or a scheme update check must be completed before an offer is made. The employment is exempt from certain provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975, and failure to disclose convictions could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
