The Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people Do you have experience working in a residential setting with children aged 7-17 If so, we have a rewarding opportunity for you.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide a nurturing, structured, and safe environment for children and young people with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Working within our 3-bed children’s home, you will play a vital role in their development, offering emotional and practical support to help them thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
• Foster a stable and caring home environment where children feel safe and valued.• Support children and young people in expressing their thoughts, feelings, and aspirations.• Encourage and facilitate educational engagement, personal growth, and recreational activities.• Promote the physical and emotional well-being of every child/young person.• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, their families, and other professionals.• Keep accurate and up-to-date records in line with safeguarding and data protection policies.• Respond effectively to challenging behaviours, using a trauma-informed approach.• Provide leadership and support to colleagues, including leading supervision sessions.• Commit to professional development and training opportunities.
Residential Support Worker – What we need from you
Key Skills & Experience;
• Passionate about working with children and young people, with a commitment to their well-being.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Able to maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding principles.• Works collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.• Committed to personal and professional development.• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential, as full training is provided).
