We’re hiring! Aon is currently recruiting a Global Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Strategy and Technology Group (STG). The Global STG COO will be primarily responsible for designing, building, and implementing the business model for the Strategy and Technology Group to support overall profitable growth objectives. The Global COO will also lead and maintain oversight of the day-to-day operations, technology, risk, and client services organization across STG. The role will sit in the STG Executive Committee and in the Global Reinsurance Operating Executive Leadership and report to the Global Reinsurance COO and Global STG CEO.

About the Role and Key Responsibilities
The Global COO will be an experienced leader, capable of designing and delivering the successful implementation of the business model across STG. Key areas of responsibility include:
1. Growth Strategy and Execution: Support the Global CEO in developing and implementing a multi-year growth strategy that drives overall business objectives, including achieving growth, margin, market share expansion, colleague engagement, and client experience targets.
2. Change Management: Be accountable for enabling and driving the transformation and changes needed in support of the Growth Plan.
3. Operating Model: Develop an effective operating model that enables the execution of the growth strategy and an efficient service model.
4. Risk Management: Ensure effective processes are embedded across STG to lead business risk within appetite.
5. Innovation: Identify new solutions and partnerships to develop new client propositions.
6. People and Network: Attract, lead, motivate, and retain key talent to deliver the people agenda.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
* Experience in a COO or similar role/function.
* Experience in change projects implementing process, organizational, and technology change.
* Leadership and influential ability to drive strategic business vision.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships at the most senior level.
* Prior experience in delivering business and operating model change.
* Positive attitude and known problem-solver.
* Ability to manage complex programs and stay focused on key business initiatives.
* Extensive experience presenting to executive sponsors.
* Demonstrated ability to develop a team that requires decisiveness and quality output.
* Good understanding of the industries Strategy and Technology and Aon operates within.
* A track record of operating successfully with a good understanding of risk management, legal, and compliance issues.
