Your Role
Reporting to the Assistant Property & Contracts Manager, you will be a key player in managing a diverse investment property portfolio. You'll take ownership of a designated asset group, ensuring all lease obligations are met and that every opportunity to enhance value is realised.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing commercial property operations in line with current legislation
Identifying and delivering asset management opportunities and business cases
Leading negotiations with agents and tenants on lease renewals, rent reviews and acquisitions
Monitoring and controlling income/expenditure across your portfolio
Supporting the delivery of commercial rental income and asset valuation targets
Preparing high-quality reports, committee briefings and strategic recommendations
Collaborating with legal teams, agents, and other Glasgow Family stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and risk management procedures
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a confident and motivated professional who can lead complex negotiations, provide expert advice, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Essential:
MRICS status (Chartered Surveyor)
RICS Registered Valuer or eligible without further assessment
Strong understanding of commercial property law, asset management, and valuation
Experience managing a commercial property portfolio
Excellent negotiation, analytical and report-writing skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience with Property Management Systems and development appraisal tools
Working knowledge of the wider development process and strategic land use
Exposure to joint projects with partner organisations
Note: All successful candidates will move up one increment after six months' service and 1st April thereafter to the top of the grade (providing they started before 1st October) with cost of living increases applied each year.
