St Lawrence College has a long record of providing an excellent academic education within a supportive community. We have recently entered the High Performance Learning (HPL) Fellowship of World Class Schools and our aim is to maximise the performance of every pupil, ensuring that they leave school equipped with the knowledge, skills and qualities that will serve them well for university, the workplace and life.
The College’s very successful Design Technology Department has a high profile, with teachers who are passionate about their subject and committed to bringing out the very best in the pupils. The ideal candidate will be a skilled classroom practitioner with experience of teaching Design Technology to A level, as well as being passionate about their subject and unstinting in their desire to pass on their enthusiasm to eager and receptive pupils.
All colleagues are expected to act as a pastoral tutor, attached to one of our Houses, and should be willing to be involved with the wider life of a busy boarding and day school.
We are seeking a person with a genuine commitment to high academic and professional standards and full engagement in the ongoing development of the department. This post would suit either an experienced teacher of Design & Technology or a new entrant to the profession who would be trained and supported to develop their teaching practice.
