Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The SMDE role is seen as a planning and coordination authority, through knowledge, experience and exposure to high complexity category programs. In this role, you will provide input and support to Chief Engineers.
You will need to be experienced in leading and developing others, managing workload and resources across multiple programs concurrently, ideally within the Aerospace industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Planning and coordination of all design activities to ensure on-time delivery.
2. Participate in all MER / Technical Audits.
3. Develop tools, processes and methods for delivery of design deliverables for project deadlines.
4. Reporting / Forecasting of status and updating of KPIs.
5. Support ITCM, PDR, and CDR when required.
6. Line Management for a small team.
Skills & Requirements:
1. Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering degree.
2. Significant experience gained in project leadership through a full program lifecycle.
3. Highly proficient in Catia and PLM.
4. Strong ability to plan and schedule design activities across multiple design modules.
5. Effective communication skills, able to clearly define expectations and gain understanding.
6. Strong problem-solving ability.
7. Good leadership skills to engage and motivate others.
8. Ability to advise and influence across functions.
