Ensuring Health, Safety and Welfare of all course delegates and colleagues during training sessions. Demonstrating consideration of the learning requirements of each delegate, with the ability to modify where appropriate instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse learner needs. Employing appropriate learning strategies to safely and effectively communicate information to learners. Ensuring accurate and effective completion of course paperwork, then ensuring its return to the Training Co-ordinator following course completion without delay. Contributing to the review, development and overall quality of training course content and instructional materials, in accordance with course objectives and to ensure the requirements of legislation and standards continue to be fully met. Assisting with the management and deployment of all Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE) in use within the company Safety Training business. Ensuring issued personal equipment and uniform is used, maintained and stored in a reasonable and presentable manner. Assisting with the implementation of business development strategies through participation in training centre events and activities. Dealing with any general day to day issues as they arise, feeding back customer comments, problems, incidents, or issues raised directly to the Training Manager. Representing the department and the Company at meetings, seminars, exhibitions and presentations in a professional manner. Assisting with the development of risk assessments and method statements for the department, ensuring relevant health & safety measures are in place before commencement of training. Travelling and working away within the UK and overseas when business needs dictate. Travelling to and from client venues – planning travel to ensure courses are delivered effectively. Maintaining and developing technical expertise in subject areas. Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, colleagues and administrators as an individual and within a team. Performing professional responsibilities in accordance with company Safety Training business objectives. Any other duties that may reasonably be asked of you that are necessary for the smooth running of the business. Skills and Abilities Physically fit, able to undertake and perform duties at height and in confined spaces. Ability to work at height and in confined spaces, including thorough knowledge of safe systems of work and understanding of technical content of all training courses. Ability to motivate delegates to actively participate in all aspects of course delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of human behaviour and learning theory applied to adult vocational learning. Ability to perform basic IT functions; Proficient using e-mail and internet-based search engines, managing files, electronic recording and reporting, use of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to identify, interpret and respond to customer needs. Full driving licence and able to drive without restriction. Qualifications – Education & Experience Previous adult vocational training experience in the sector. Nationally regulated vocational training and assessment qualifications (e.g. NVQ, PTLLS, CTLLS, EAT, D32/33, A1 Assessor). Experience and certification to evidence occupational competency in working at height, rescue and confined spaces including equipment procedures and practice. Competent Person for the Inspection of PFPE. Comprehensive PFPE and Confined Spaces related product knowledge. First aid certificate (e.g. EFAW, FAW, FREC etc.).
