Job Overview:
As the Registered Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of the hospital. You will ensure that all clinical and non-clinical staff operate effectively and that our services meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities will include managing theatre schedules, staff rotas, inventory and stock control, recruitment, and maintaining robust compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the hospital’s daily operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery across all departments.
* Coordinate theatre schedules to maximize resource availability and minimize patient wait times.
* Manage staff rotas, ensuring appropriate coverage and optimal scheduling.
* Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that stock is managed efficiently to support patient care and reduce waste.
* Drive recruitment efforts to build and maintain a skilled, compassionate team aligned with the hospital’s values.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including healthcare, safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety.
* Foster a collaborative environment, supporting staff training, development, and adherence to best practices.
* Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and ensure readiness for inspections and audits.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a healthcare setting, ideally within a surgical or hospital environment.
* Strong knowledge of theatre operations, stock and inventory management, and staff scheduling.
* Experience in recruitment, training, and team development.
* Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant healthcare management qualifications and active registration with CQC.
