A dynamic and forward-thinking civil and structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with UK experience in infrastructure design to contribute to a range of exciting projects, from small-scale developments to major schemes up to £300M in value.
You will join a supportive and experienced Civil Engineering team, working alongside senior engineers to deliver high-quality road, drainage, and infrastructure design solutions. The team takes pride in embracing innovation and collaboration across disciplines, while fostering a vibrant and friendly working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide drawing and 3D modelling input on a range of civil engineering projects.
* Support the implementation of office standards, including BIM and digital tools such as Infraworks and Navisworks.
* Coordinate closely with internal structural teams to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
* Assist in the detailing of drainage and road layouts for infrastructure projects including residential and mixed-use developments.
* Engage with external consultants, contractors, and developers to support project delivery.
* Play a proactive role in the adoption of new technologies and software across the civil engineering team.
About You
You are a driven and capable technician with:
* Strong 3D modelling skills and demonstrable UK-based project experience.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (essential).
* Knowledge of MicroDrainage (desirable) and familiarity with:
* Autodesk Infraworks
* Navisworks
* PDS / PDS Signs
While no specific academic qualifications are required, a background such as HNC/HND or ONC/OND is desirable. Candidates looking to move into a more management-oriented role are encouraged to apply, as career progression and development are strongly supported.
