Strategic Marketing Consultant - Omnichannel Research & Strategy Lead Are you a data-driven visionary leader whod welcome the opportunity to spearhead the discovery and strategy phase of our clients Omnichannel transformation? With changing customer buying behaviour, our client needs an Omnichannel Research & Strategy Lead to identify key buying behaviours and shape the omnichannel strategy to define the future seamless customer journey across ecommerce, physical retail and other channels. Currently our client, in the growing home / interiors market, has limited online sales / e-commerce so your omnichannel strategy will shape the future model of this company. With a collaborative culture, this company has an appetite for change, transformation and ambitions to grow. Youll lead the research and create the omnichannel strategy, with ownership of: Consumer research & market insights for the discovery phase of the Customer of the Future. This includes commissioning and overseeing research to uncover customer of the future trends. Defining the ideal omnichannel model, the customer journey and the digital technology required Selection and manage a world class research agency to deliver actionable insights Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement for this transformation including presenting to the board / C-Suite. The initial role is to deliver the Omnichannel Research & Strategy. There is potential for this role to extend after to execute the strategy and therefore deliver this Omnichannel transformation. About You: Wed like to hear from you if you are an SME / Subject Matter Expert with: A successful track record leading Omnichannel discovery, consumer research and strategy including the buying journey and customer segmentation, in a diverse range of markets including retail. Experience working with global consumer brands, ecommerce and retail ecosystems A deep understanding of customer journeys, digital trends and online-to-offline commerce A strong grasp of digital platforms, ecommerce technology and UX best practices Experience of selecting agencies, RFP processes and digital transformation Strong stakeholder management with the ability to gain buy in, influence and negotiate to take people on this journey. Youll know when to adapt your communication style to be concise or elaborate with detail, depending on the situation. Youll be a strategic thinker, analytical, curious, pro-active with a data-driven mindset and a collaborative approach. As a problem solver, youll be comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping first of its kind projects. Location: Evesham, Worcestershire Hybrid working Office circa 2- 3 days per week. You need to be within reasonable commute of Evesham to attend meetings when required. This is a 6 month fixed term contract Salary: Circa £70,000 - £100,000 Pro Rata private medical, pension, holidays Potential to extend post phase 1 of strategy formation to then execute the strategy.
