We are looking for a skilled HR & Payroll Coordinator to become a vital part of our dynamic shared service team. Location: Coatbridge Service Centre Salary: £26,500 - £29,000 Department: HR Shared Services Reports To: Regional Team Manager Responsibilities: Monitor and control people leader approvals of overtime and absence including inputting annual leave & absence into the T&A system for all team members. Calculate and control sickness absence payments for all team members ensuring Company Sick Pay is applied as per entitlement and policy and Statutory Sick Pay is applied as per HMRC legislation. Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, obtaining references, and ensuring a seamless integration into the company. Calculate and control final payments for leavers ensuring the HR & T&A systems are maintained and updated accurately for all team members ensuring any overpayment/underpayment process ensuring production of letters and all documentation is processed as per Standard Operating Procedures. Utilise Workday and Promark to process team member data changes as well as paperwork completed for Payroll. Verify first and second payroll run and make any necessary amendments within set deadlines. Identification of any payroll errors ensuring appropriate action is taken. Ensure all employee information is securely filed and access to personnel data is strictly controlled. Respond to requests for data from internal and external sources ensuing that all SLA’s are met in accordance with Service Now guidelines. Train and maintain standards for a back up HR & Payroll Coordinator to cover payroll in their absence. Support with DSARS and ensuring that they are completed in line with legislation. Weekly production of the Service Centre Labour Cost Report ensuring timely distribution to relevant Managers. Produce all payroll reports that are required on a weekly/monthly basis ensuring deadlines are met. Provides 1st level employee relations advice, for example maternity rights; holiday entitlements; sickness and absence management and flexible working requests. Directing people leaders to correct policies on MyHR. Identifies more complex cases and escalates appropriately. Collaborate closely with other members of the shared service team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality HR services and adhering to strict SLA’s and processes. Key Working Relationships : Close collaboration with on-site Management Team, central payroll team, and other internal and external teams. Additional Information: This role requires autonomy and may involve covering multiple sites. CIPD Level 3 Apprenticeship will be provided.
